Volunteering with the Befriending Service

  • Can you spare a few hours a week to visit people who require companionship?
  • Do you enjoy meeting people from a wide range of backgrounds?

If yes then you may like to volunteer with the befriending service.  Volunteers aged 21 plus who have a genuine desire to help people are required to visit older and isolated people in their own homes as described in the service provided above.

Volunteers need good oral communication and listening skills and the ability to relate to older people.  All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
