Volunteer Mentoring Project
|
The Volunteer Mentoring Project, funded by the National Lottery aims to make volunteering more open and accessible to as many local people as possible. The Project will work with people living in the City of Sunderland who may not be able to volunteer independently due to:
- language barriers
- sensory impairment
- low confidence or self esteem
- a learning disability
- a physical disability

- sensory impairment
- mental ill health etc.
Suitable individuals will be given support from the Project’s staff and will be matched to a Volunteer Mentor who will work with them on a one to one basis and support them into a suitable volunteering opportunity. Mentors will support these individuals up to a six month perioed or until they feel they are ready to progress to independent volunteering.
(Please note all our mentors are volunteers. Although we try our best to supply a volunteer mentor it may not always be possible).
If you wish to refer someone into the Project please download one of our referral forms by clicking the link here or you can contact the mentoring project by getting in touch with us on (0191) 5678902 or emailing supportingvol@aol.com.
