NEVI

North East Volunteering Infrastructure (NEVI) is the regional network of Volunteer Centres.

NEVI aims to support the development of volunteering in the North East
NEVI is dedicated to:

- Sharing and developing information, skills and knowledge.

- Campaigning for the recognition of volunteers.

- Promoting and developing best practice through education and training.

- Influencing policy development enabling social inclusion and equal opportunities.

Sunderland Carers’ Centre provides confidential information, advice and support to people looking after a family member, partner, friend or neighbour who due to illness, disability, frailty or addiction is unable to manage alone.

 

The Centre also offers carer support groups; support at meetings with health, social services and other agencies; courses; social activities; free newsletter; opportunities to influence service development; and support and activities for young carers.
